Maureen Cahill, MSN, APN, CNS, AOCNS, has been an advanced practice nurse in adult and pediatric oncology for more than 35 years. She joined the National Council of State Boards of Nursing in summer 2011 to lead their Campaign for APRN Consensus, implementing the APRN Consensus Model of APRN Regulation, Licensure, Accreditation, Certification, and Education in all 55 US states and jurisdictions. She assists Boards of Nursing in adoption of the Consensus Model. In clinical roles as a nursing director and cancer center administrator, Maureen has had administrative accountability for other specialty APRNs. Prior to joining the NCSBN, she was Clinical Director of the Aflac Cancer Center at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. She received her MSN from Boston University and her BSN from the College of St. Teresa in Winona, MN.
